"I have really enjoyed their live gigs, which are a treat for anybody who loves blues, folk, country or rock'n'roll."

Daniel (aka Dr StrangeGuv)
Dr StrangeGuv is on guitar, slide guitar and vocals.
Raised on the sounds of Stax, Muscle Shoals, Chess and Sun Records, he has soul and rhythm & blues in his bones.
He dreams of playing guitar like T-Bone Walker and Derek Truck, and singing like Hound Dog Taylor and Chris Robinson.
Dream on, Dan!
John (aka John the Savage)
Liverpudlian John Savage started playing tenor sax over 30 years ago.
With influences from old time R&B and cool jazz he enjoys all music that swings.
Having always been a keen singer he has recently taken up acoustic guitar and harmonica.
Philippa comes from a classical background and still plays violin with the Salisbury Symphony Orchestra. She likes to sneak in the odd orchestral manoeuver from time to time, but the others seem to be in the dark about that...
She has been known to provide rhythm on snare drum and cajon, but is happy to leave all that to the expert, Matt these days!
A self-confessed musical magpie, she also has some guilty pleasures such as Simply Red and The Commodores.
John (aka Big Bass John)
John is always there to provide the bass line, and contributes lead and backing vocals on some of the songs.
He now mostly plays a 5 string bass with the band, and saves his double bass for Marchwood Prelude Orchestra and Southampton Folk Orchestra. Not one to be sitting around while other people are playing, John will join pretty much any group that asks him to!
John's musical influences range from The Beatles to Kate Rusby, stopping off at Blind Blake, Robert Johnson, Bob Dylan and Willie Nelson along the way.
Matt is chief drum hitter whilst in the company of The Guv'nas. He also plays piano, bass and guitar. Some members of the band want him to learn the xylophone, but he's not having any of it.
Matt enjoys listening to and playing most genres of music. Particular favourites include James Brown, Miles Davis, Red Hot Chillies, Debussy and The Foo Fighters.
